At this campus-wide event, formerly known as Thank A Donor Day, people gather to show gratitude to UGA's generous donors. All students are welcome to participate. Mary Frances Early (M.M.Ed. ‘62, Ed.S. ‘67) played an integral role in the campaign for racial equality that helped open the doors for generations of students at the University of Georgia. Her triumph as the first African American graduate of UGA made her a central figure in the struggle to desegregate the University, and it serves as an example to all. She will be speaking to students about her experiences.  
The Dodd Galleries at the Lamar Dodd School of Art announces the Margie E. West Prize, an annual prize given to an esteemed alumni from the Lamar Dodd School of Art, inviting the artist to create a new exhibition for the Marjorie Eichenlaub West Gallery.
