French

French is spoken officially in more than 33 countries—and about a third of the English vocabulary has been borrowed from French. As France is the world’s fifth economic power, learning more about its language and culture is beneficial for careers of all kinds. 

At UGA, French is available as a major and minor, with electives available to students in other disciplines. At the graduate level, UGA offers a master’s and PhD in French.
