Choreographer Liz Lerman

Choregrapher, performer, educator and writer Liz Lerman is in residency at UGA this week and will give a public lecture on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. in room 248 of the Miller Learning Center.

Lerman organizes highly collaborative works that cut across traditional disciplines and communities. In 1976, she founded the Washington, D.C.-based Dance Exchange, one the most innovative and creatively expansive dance companies in the world.  Her visit will include master classes in the dance department and a workshop based on her book Critical Response Process.

Lerman will present a lecture, “Hiking the Horizontal: Making Rules, Breaking Rules."
