Fellows for Transformative Teaching

Strengthening the faculty across disciplines and tenure-track lines, the Center for Teaching and Learning Fellows for Transformative Teaching bring together experienced faculty from across UGA to explore and engage in conversations about advanced teaching practices. CTL announced its 2024-25 Fellows, which include four from the Franklin College:

  • Kate A. Morrissey Stahl,School of Social Work
  • Amy Murphy,Mary Frances Early College of Education
  • Christine M. Scartz,School of Law

The goals of the Fellows for Transformative Teaching program are to:

  1. Provide senior faculty with opportunities for the sharing of ideas with other dedicated, highly motivated, and innovative teachers from other disciplines who may have similar interests and who face similar teaching challenges;
  2. Provide senior faculty with opportunities for professional and personal renewal;
  3. Provide funding for an instructional project designed to strengthen courses and teaching methods in each participant's academic department; and
  4. Help reinforce an instructional environment that honors and recognizes the skills and values of dedicated instructional practitioners across campus.
