Alumni Awards are open!

The Franklin College of Arts and Sciences is excited to announce the 2026 Franklin College Alumni Awards! These awards honor a group of distinguished alumni who exemplify the characteristics of the Franklin Spark that unite us across the arts and sciences. These traits are undeniably ambitious, exceptionally curious, wildly creative, incredibly innovative, and tomorrow’s leaders. When the arts and sciences come together, innovative multi-disciplinary collaboration takes place, spearheading academic and research excellence.   

Do you know someone who embodies the Franklin Spark – an industry leader, innovative collaborator or creative thinker making an impact in their community? If yes, please nominate them today. Nominations are open now through September 30.  

Winners will be recognized at an event for their significant contributions and impact to their communities.  

Nomination categories include (see details below): College-Service Award, Distinguished Alumni Award, Family Award, Innovation Award, Lifetime Award, Mid-Career Award, Organization Award, and Young Alumni Award.

College Service Award: recognizes individuals who have rendered exemplary service to Franklin College, also known as the Dean’s Service Award. 

Distinguished Alumni Award: acknowledges alumnus who has attained remarkable success and prominence in their careers and community since graduation from the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. 

Family Award: presented to a family that brings recognition and honor through outstanding leadership and service to the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and the community. 

Innovation Award: presented to an alumnus, non-alumnus or organization who has demonstrated innovative thinking and service to the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. 

Lifetime Award: celebrates Franklin College of Arts and Sciences alumnus who has demonstrated exceptional accomplishments and sustained impact over their lifetime. 

Mid-Career Award: honors alumnus who has made significant contributions in their respective field within 10-20 years of graduation from the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. 

Organization Award: presented to an organization or corporation for their devotion to the greater good of the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. 

Young Alumni Award: presented to Franklin College of Arts and Sciences alumnus who graduated within the past 10 years and brings recognition through outstanding leadership and service to the College, the community and their profession.
